Social Policy and Development Centre (SPDC) is an independent, non-profit policy research organization of Pakistan, established in 1995, which works on the issues of poverty, inequality, governance, gender, and the macro- economy. To date, SPDC has over 700 widely-cited publications to its credit. Stakeholders include the Federal and Provincial Governments, autonomous entities, international and single-country agencies, overseas and national universities.
SPDC is looking for a Senior Technical Advisor, to be based in Islamabad or Karachi, to advance the organization’s work in the areas of research and resource mobilization. She/He will be responsible for undertaking donor mapping relevant to the thematic areas of SPDC’s work; writing proposals, help obtain grant funding, and implement contract research; as also liaison with policymakers and international development partners to build networking relationships.
The person sought should have a proven record of mobilzing grants, endowments and sponsored research. The candidate should preferably have a PhD in Economics or other Social Sciences with at least fifteen years of experience in research and policy analysis; five or more years should preferably have been gained with international development partners. Reasonably attractive terms are offered.
