Our client, a Federal Government-owned entity and an equal opportunity employer, engaged in implementing gas import and infrastructure development projects of strategic national importance, is seeking a top-class audit professional, based in Islamabad.
Prime Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing the internal audit function in accordance with professional standards and requirements of applicable laws.
- Perform organization-wide basic risk assessments to identify significant risks or exposure related to internal controls or compliance; develop annually a risk-based internal audit plan for the Audit Committee’s review and approval and oversee the implementation of the approved plan.
- Ensure best practice in governance by assessing the adequacy of governance systems and management of existing risks, highlight any non-compliance to the Audit Committee against any laws, regulations, policy, procedure.
- Prepare and present reports for the Audit Committee of Board and participate in meetings, perform complete secretarial function with respect to Audit Committee of Board of Directors, including preparation of agenda, working papers, notices, minutes and all related communication.
Qualification & Experience:Â
- ACA/ACCA/ACMA and/or a member of a recognized body of professional accountants, certified internal auditors, certified fraud examiner, with 4 years post qualification experience in Audit and Assurance related roles.
- 5 years of audit experience in a corporate organization, preferably in the energy sector. Age: 44 years max.
