Job Description

Qualifications and Competencies: 

The candidate should possess Bachelors’ degree in Chemical engineering from a PEC accredited university and should be fully conversant with operation HSE deliverables, compliance of Corporate HSE Guidelines, Process Safety Management, Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analysis, Work at Height, Permit to Work System, Management of Change (MoC), HSE System Audits, Management Walk-arounds, Emergency Response, Construction Safety, Contractor Safety, Environmental aspects, Incident reporting and investigation, Audits & trainings etc.

The candidate should have working knowledge of HSE studies in Operations (HIRAC, HAZID, HAZOP, MoC, etc.) and familiarized with Project HSE studies for implementation during pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up and turnaround phases. The candidate should possess strong interpersonal, communication and computational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office will be an additional advantage.

Experience:

Minimum 6 years’ relevant experience in a petrochemical, Oil & Gas or fertilizer industry. The candidate should be well versed with international & local Codes and Standards like OSHA & HSE UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Site-specific Standard Operating Procedures for safe and smooth operations.
  • Perform Risk Assessment and Job Safety Analysis in day to day plant operation.
  • Improve effectiveness of emergency response procedure with implementation of ERP and regular mock drills emphasizing on improving mustering, search and rescue mechanism.
  • Ensure compliance of permit to work, Work at height protocols, Confine space, H2S safety, Scaffolding and Process safety during any job in the plant premises.
  • Performed routine / non-routine / job-specific audits of the facility to identify areas of improvement and ensure 100 % close out of the actions generated from audits.
  • Ensure HSE assurance in operations through line management involvement with respect to proactive reporting, participate in HSE system Audits, Management Walk-arounds, incident investigation etc.
  • Facilitate Contractor/Service provider in implementation of Contractor Safety protocols inside plant premises.
  • Ensure compliance of EPA, PNRA, OGRA, Explosive department and other regulatory bodies in our operation and brown field projects.
