Job Summary
This position exists to monitor / supervise the performance of operating units (Ammonia/Urea/Utilities), technical plant modifications (design/execution), product quality and undertake new projects with the objective to ensure effective management of the Plant for safe, efficient & coherent operations. The position operates WITHIN guidelines as stipulated by FG SOPs, PSM, Quality & HSE criteria, Site emergency procedures, EPA Regulations & Management’s directions.
Key Responsibilities
Plant monitoring, troubleshooting and optimization (Ammonia, Urea, Utilities).
Process design for improvement in process / projects /modifications, capacity, reliability and efficiency enhancement.
Liaison with external vendors, suppliers and technologists for improvements.
Participate/lead PHA/HAZOP studies for new projects as well as for baseline/cyclic reviews.
Develop economic feasibility of the new projects & present proposal in respective forums for approval.
Manage

activities for company capital/expense project from concept to execution.
Explore and study new technologies for plant improvement (Production enhancement/energy optimization).
Provide technical support and assistance to other sections such as Instrumentation, maintenance, inspection and materials as required.
Perform plant modification and refurbishment studies and process simulation using different computer software through management of change procedure.
Process Investigation, problem solving and root cause analysis.
Provide assistance in plant start-up and shut down activities.
Preparation of equipment and instruments data sheet.
Equipment rating, sizing and simulation using latest software.

Qualification & Experience Qualification: BSc/BE Chemical Engineering
Experience: 8-12 years in fertilizer/Petrochemical (preferably) or Oil and Gas Industry
