| This position is responsible to formulate and manage freight slabs arrange transportation and transporter payments with the objective to minimize freight cost and to strengthen relations with transporters within the limits of company policies and procedures | ||
| Key Responsibilities | |

Freight Bills Processing
Ensures timely processing of carriage contractors bills through OTM Ensures all IA related queries on bills processing are timely addressed Ensures close liaison with Finance teams to clear all the bills Track payments status on daily basis Ensures fuel card adjustments are being made.
IN ORDER TO meet our service levels by fulfilling transporters payments on time and to create a healthy relationship with them.
Freight Cost Optimization
Ensures accurate and regular freight analysis are being conducted on time Ensures formation of freight slabs for respective plant and controls freight payables Ensures rationalization of freight rates by comparing competitors rates with ours on Sales District/Sales Region level Ensures coordination with Plant and Port teams to rationalize freight rates.
IN ORDER TO optimize freight cost and to contribute positively towards the bottom line.
Arrangement of Transshipments
Ensures arrangement of the quotations for transshipments upon receiving instructions from Head Office team Ensures optimal freight rates are being quoted by CCs Ensures timely execution of transshipments Ensures transport availability for transshipments Ensures Sales and Transporters concerns are addressed while executing a transshipment
IN ORDER TO facilitate sales team efficiently and cost effectively.
Digitalization
Ensures improved visibility of transporter payments in system Ensures new reports in system such as OTM and BI are being developed and updated and are easily accessible Ensures close coordination with IT to resolve reporting issues Ensures new initiatives are taken to bridge automation gaps in freight section
IN ORDER TO improve reporting time and visibility to aid senior management in decision making.
Product Delivery & Transporter Management
Ensures correct POD of plant sales invoices in OTM Ensures proper deductions are accounted for lost short damaged product during in-transit Resolves all transport related issues being faced by Sales and Distribution teams Ensures shipment of NA through Jerry cans; Ensures all concerns raised by carriage contractors are addressed Ensure carriage contractors are providing vehicles on time
IN ORDER TO ensure product is being delivered on time and in full.
