Job Profile/ Specifications:

•    Able to prepare exploratory, development, workover and re-entry wells’ drilling programme, considering safe and effective designs that ensure well integrity over the well life by following the process of well planning
•    Possess experience of planning and execution of drilling slanted, horizontal and HPHT wells in a safe and efficient manner
•    Have experience of performing complete well planning on EDM Landmark Drilling Suite
•    Able to monitor daily progress of well operations and provide engineering/ logistics support to rig site for all operations along with advising trouble shooting/  engineering solutions to relevant teams
•    Capable of providing support to drilling and completion engineering team and maintain effective interface with other stakeholders to achieve departmental and strategic goals
•    Able to liaise with rig contractors and service providers to maintain and organize all required resources on time
•    Capable of organizing contractors’ KPI workshops for performance monitoring and identification of loopholes
•    Able to identify, evaluate and apply new technologies to improve drilling performance and produce cost effective solutions
•    Capable of conducting drilling well paper workshops, HAZOP, after action reviews and developing procedures for continuous improvement of the forthcoming projects
•    Able to participate in tendering process, including ITB preparations, bids evaluation and preparing contracts, for procuring drilling material and associated services/ equipment
•    Have the flexibility to visit well sites to fulfill operational requirements, audits and inspections
•    Possess knowledge of cement design, 1D MEM and its effect on drilling performance, well integrity standards, ISO/TS 16530-1/2, NORSOK and high-end drilling solutions (CTD, USRD)
•     Have knowledge of QMS and HSE regulations to ensure compliance

Required Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in petroleum/ mechanical engineering from a reputable local or foreign institution/ university recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan with at least 7 years of diversified working experience in drilling operations

Job Responsibilities:

The position is responsible for planning and implementation of exploratory, development, workovers and re-entry wells projects while complying with PPL’s standard procedures and policies and HSE Standards. The job holder will also manage well cost estimates and tender documents / bid evaluations of drilling services.
