Position: Lab Engineer – SMCS (05 Positions)
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assist instructors (professors and lecturers) in conducting their labs • Maintaining and developing lab manuals • Keeping lab software/hardware up to date with the help of IT • Be present in labs for the entire duration of a lab-session • Help instructors (professors and lecturers) in lab-related assessments of their courses • Each lab engineer will be responsible for at least four lab sessions each week QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE: For software/computer lab: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree either in computer science/computer engineering/software engineering for a software/computer lab (for programming related courses including but not limited to introduction to programming, data structures, object-oriented programming, etc) For hardware lab: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree either in electrical engineering/electronics engineering/computer engineering for a hardware lab (for system related courses including but not limited to computer architecture, digital logic design, system programming, etc) The incumbent shall have at least 1 year of experience working in relevant field.
