Prime Pakistan Limited (formerly known as Eni Pakistan Limited), is an energy Company engaged in oil & gas exploration & production activities in Pakistan. We are urgently seeking energetic individuals having requisite qualification/ experience for the position of Team Leader – Drilling & Completion Engineering. This position is based in Karachi with occasional field visits.
Job Profile:Â
- To oversee the preparation of engineering programs covering all well activities (drilling, completion/work-over, well testing and rigless/well intervention operations).
- Support Well Operations Manager to prepare well operations budgets and programs.
- Liaison with Exploration, Reservoir and Production department in order to define the suitable well design, operational sequence and cost optimization.
- Conduct evaluations, studies and prepare reports on aspect of well operations with recommendations for improvements and optimization.
- QC cost estimates for wells to be drilled and/or worked over.
- Ensure that activities carried out by contractors meet contractual terms, budgeted costs and are conducted in accordance with good engineering practice.
- Coordinate, review and approve the activities of Drilling Engineers, Completion Engineers, Rigless & Well Interventions Team in preparation of sound relevant engineering programs.
- Daily follow up of well operations with Drilling Superintendent and Engineers and make recommendations as necessary.
- Ensure the application of new technologies to optimize safety, operations and well cost.
- Forward planning of well interventions/work over/ well testing.
- Contact & liaison with Contractors and management of respective contracts to ensure materials. equipment and services are provided on a timely basis and as per contract terms and conditions.
- Liaison with Field, Exploration and Reservoir groups to ensure that well objectives are satisfied.
- Ensure preparations of requisition for services, preparation of tender documents, technical evaluation of tenders.
- Support & monitor activities of drilling, completion and well intervention operations team in office as well as on field.
- Preparation technical presentation and attend external meetings as and when required.
- OC and distribute daily operations reports.
- QC end of well reports and perform NPT analysis.
- Prepare schedule for future operations.
- Ensure material, equipment and services availability for ongoing and future operations.
- Liaison with IV partners on well operations matters
- Ensure well engineering and operations programs are prepared in compliance with Prime policies. procedures and standards as well as following good oil field industry practices.
- Review programs, budget and monitor well operation activities on Prime non-operated fields
- Ensure all activities carried out by contractors meets contractual terms, budgeted cost and are conducted in compliance with Prime policies, procedures and standards.
- Ensure adherence to Prime HSE Policies and standards in all well operations.
- Mentoring of young WTOPS resources
Candidate Profile:Â
- Graduate from reputable institute in Petroleum Engineering, wide and deep theoretic studies on all aspects of drilling and completion.
- Experience for at least 10 years in Drilling & Wells Operations.
- Experiences in different fields and environments and good knowledge of internal technologies and markets.
- Ability to use Landmark EDM drilling suite and Well view or equivalent.
- Team player having well-developed interpersonal and negotiating skills.
