AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Purpose 

The incumbent will facilitate the communities to follow sustainable welfare measures to improve the health and welfare of their equine animals. Position holder will provide emergency veterinary treatment to working equids. Establish and strengthen referral system by working with the local service providers and train them to enhance their quality of service delivery to equines and to carry out community development activities to improve equine welfare.

Qualification, Knowledge, Experience and Skills

  • Degree in DVM from an accredited university/institute. CGPA 3 or above.
  • Registered with PVMC as qualified vet practitioner.
  • Minimum three to four years post qualification working experience in large animal care, community development and facilitation.
  • Ability to work with the local service providers, Govt and Private Vets/Para vets and Famers to impart them training to enhance their quality of service delivery to working equids.
  • Excellent computer and communication skills are required.
  • Ability experience in fostering good relationship with relevant government official and likeminded organizations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of team.
